So had to get a few parts from Chris and tricky but I finally got the fitment of the pump shoe how I like it and bolted the pump up to get alignment
I also just got my full spectrum 49s from tricky in the mail and packaging was crazy it was almost impossible to get in the box

So I got the pump lined up in the midshaft housing and I got 90 percent of the xmetal trim on the 155 nozzle working now to bug my friend to get the bottom paint ready and seal the shoe then it's time to grind the pump down and the plate down in some spots to it to fit

Nice work. I've always liked the looks of the xscream hulls. Is that pump dump scupper going to be able to open? With steering cable and cooling line it's going to be tight in there.

Got the degree wheel and dial indicator for some total loss

It's usually one or the other man, the dial indicator will get you close. To find true tdc use a piston stop and degree wheel. Turn til it stops one way and set the wheel to zero then turn back the other way to the stop measure degrees, divide by 2 and that is true tdc. Then take the degree wheel off and use the dial indicator to find tdc. I'll bet you get 2 different answers... once you see how long it stays on tdc according to the dial indicator you will see what I mean.

True tdc on a dial indicator is as soon as it stops moving I no there is a small amount where it does stay still while turning motor but it should be perfect when it first initially stops moving (from what I read and talk to people about) but I'm going to do both and I'll see if they are both correct lol

I tried both on my 10mm when I set up my epic and was off by almost 2 degrees. If you are going to run a ton of timing it will matter. If you are conservative it's not a big deal. But who builds a 30k ski and doesn't try to get all they can out of it?

Exactly I understand what your saying completely the degree wheel obviously seems like a better way to get exact but there was a thread some where explaining everything about using both dial indicator and the degree wheel
And I want my ski to run a ton if timing but right now only have conservative timing numbers but we will see I will always need both of these tool no matter what and they are cheap lol 25 bucks at most for both I think lol why not have them

taking a stab at this. as soon as the dial indicator tops out, note the degree it is on, then keep rotating the crank until the DI moves again. not the degree. split the difference, that should be true top dead center.
