Super Jet can a flow control valve be used in place of an ECWI?

I just realized the ecwi works opposite of the flow control valve. There still may be a way to make it work with a tee. one side of the tee would have a flow control to the pisser, the other side of the tee would have a restrictor to the water injector.

I've got a flow control valve and a water injector. I guess it's worth trying.

why would you want to control flow to the pisser? dont you want the FCV going to the stinger?

Water is going to travel the path of least resistance. I dont see a jet on the not FCV leg doing much good. I have thought about trying this also......... But after much thinking I dont think it will work like we want it to.

but it works on a b pipe stinger with a tee to a pisser.

But you are just cutting back the amount of water flow to help dry out the waterbox, you are still flowing water through the FCV and out the T when the valve is open. I use to run one straight in-line to totally cut the water off when I use to race my SJ. This was on a B Pipe before the stinger and coming out from the head pipe. theory behind that was it created more back pressure to force more water through the pray hole in the head pipe while allowing me to have the pipe tuned for more Top End. How much it worked, ehhhhh.... Hell, try it!

If I can't find a valve that works opposite of a FCV I will try it.

mine is jeted at the stinger and a flow control valve does not seem to be correct to what people are saying here but i did not want more electronic junk on the fx. works good. I'll pm ya the rest if you want..

Let me know what your set up is. I've got Ollie on the hunt for a better cut off valve at the water injection point. He deals with pumps and valves for a living.

The Seadoo water regulator valve works just the opposite of the FCV, it works off of pump pressure, it flows the most water at idle speeds, the higher the pump pressure the less it flows.I have successfully installed them on several Seadoo pipes that were not factory equipped with them with great results, and its adjustable, the red cap on the top adjusts the spring pressure for fine tuning. A used one is probably around $25-30.
