Also I'd mix a black pigment in with your resin and microballoons. That way any beaching scratches that wear through your paint/gelcoat won't be a whitish color, they will be more gray/black and blend in.

Yes that is the plan, there isn't very much to fill but, gonna do that for the reason you mentioned
