Can I save this cylinder?

Drilling a straight hole is the key. Insert extractor and apply heat and boom it should work its way out. Once you get a good straight hole goin I switch to left handed drill bits. They work well and can pull out the stuck piece sometimes.drill press is you friend too

It's definitely a good trick however, if one does not own a set of easy out or screw extractors, then it is even less likely they own a welder...just saying. :)

Lake lookout. Josh came up once. It's a small lake that feeds lake Norman. A lot less traffic. I'm about an hour north of y'all I think. I'm gonna come down a ride with you guys. But I don't think I will make it today. I have an aluminum welder and afew tools I'm also getting into powder coating so when we finish fixing your stuff I can make it look sexy too!

the problem with the broken bolt hole on the top left with that cylinder is someone already tried to drill it out and broke the drill bit off inside the hole with the bolt.. im pretty sure thers not much you can do with that.. just sayin.. i know a machinist that can weld stainless that would weld a nut onto the broken bolt. tap it with a hammer then back the broken bolt out but he wont touch it if someone started drilling before.. those pictures do not show enough detail of the broken drill bit
