Can I stuff a GP1200 tank in a B2 1200 ? YES YOU CAN!

My B2 1200 is a gas pig. I'm wondering if I can fit this tank from a GP1200. It's 13.2 instead of 10.6

Has anyone modified their tank? Or installed an aftermarket one? Wish I could cut out and expand the notch that held the injection reservoir.

Can't answer your question, but didn't the B2 have oil injection? Some of the stand up guys run 2 tanks. Maybe you can turn the oil tank into an auxillary fuel tank using a similar method. It's not a lot, but maybe it's something.

Good idea, but it seems you would need to run 2 selector valves, one would switch your fuel pickup to the old oil tank, the other would switch the return line from the main tank to the oil tank.

I believe you can run the oil tank by using the vent line from the main tank to a pickup in the oil tank, then vent the oil tank. Not sure how much those tanks hold, but I don't think it would be worth the trouble.

Any pics of one installed? Bolts in or custom bracket?
Rubber bumpers underneath line up exactly the same. Have to modify the straps or make you own. I put in extender blocks made of square aluminum tube from mcmaster and longer bolts since the straps are too short with the taller tank. No pics on my phone. Literally just replaces the b2 tank. Filler hose still fits, just angles it up a little but fills about the same. Might get a burp if you fill too fast.

Let us know how it works. And pics.
I throw those tanks away, so if it works and someone wants to do the same,... Just pay shipping and I'll hook someone up.
