if you order a Ski off Rick they come with a Dasa 850 or 950 option

or you can go the porn option

What size DASA is that pic, pretty cool

that's hot right their!!! but if it was me, I would go with the WCf/dasa 846 set up...but that's just my opinion! :)
you can loose either way but I pretty sure Dasa would be less $$

i wouldn't know what to do with 800+cc's. my engine, pump, electronics where all put together by jetworks and its a beast.

i really think the key factor here is not throwing a bunch of stuff together that you get good deals on. pick one reputable builder and have them pick it all out. they know what works and what doesn't. in my opinion any motor would do well in a hull of that stature. most opinions you get will be biased.

the link BK posted would be a great option as well. 615 guys rock!

im in the same pickle trying to decide what motor to go with for my rickter xfs. its gunna be a stricktly flatwater ski, so im riding with my 701 this year (hull will be here june 27), and next year i was intending a 950+ any objections?

well i can tell you the 1100 Dasa is just a whole world of fun to ride , great engine a one could say a little different to riding my 701 Sj :-}}}

if i was building a ski it would have to be 950cc + its not going to cost that much extra at at least you know the power is there when you need it

it fits in there just lovely as well

Shanes, surprised that you rdie the oem tank, but I guess with a 1100 on board that does not matter much?? I ordered mine with the 9ltr wall tank due to my small engine..not sure whether I did the right thing...

Whatever motor you want bro. I personally like the ADA billet setups for surf style riding, nice power and cheap fixed when you have issues. Like a 6 mil long rod 920cc non powervalve motor.

I might be starting a new project. Might by a Rickter fr 2 hull and was wondering what engine you guys recommend running. I ride all surf and like going big.
This is my first Rickter build so I'm looking for any help. Been saving up for this for a couple yrs now.

X-Scream 865, The guys at X-Scream will set you up right. Just drop it in and ride. I have been running the motor for about two years now and I love it...

I think the 850's or 865's are a good choice for all riding, if its mainly flat then the 950 (but you need arms like Shane to hold on!) lol. But unless you reeaaally need the bigbore, I have ridden a few 701s that would have been all I need and more in the surf.
