Has any body towed there SXR behind a boat (WITH NO ONE ON IT) at speed? I’m wondering if it can be towed at speed if the tow line is attached t the loop below the bond line or will it just sub under the water like every other standup ski

Sure just nail it and don't look back,I am not saying what it will look like when you get to where you are going though.

Don't do it.

... actually, you can try and see for yourself. :poke:

You need to find a way to secure the bow to the boat. Depends on the boat.

I'd suspect you could if you could securely attach 50+ weight to the back of the tray.

I've heard of that being done on a standup before.

Yeah I'm renting a pontoon boat for the family and I'm not super confident in my wifes driving (shallow water with sand bars). I'll figure some way to get it up on the deck- Thanks for the input

My ski sank in like 20' the one and only time I tried towing it and became a $6000 rapala but a buddy we ride with ties his SJ up to his runabout and goes WFO down the river (approx 40mph) for at least a couple miles and has zero problems

tried towing my sxi pro once... didn't do so well when the back end was the only part left floating (had a buddy driving, wasn't paying attention). Yikes! :scared:

i've pulled three stand ups within the last two months. using the wifeys fx1. tied the ski app. three feet behind me, stood up and went half throttle for acouple of miles.
this is the only way to move skis around. no problems.

Use a water weenie and inflate the stabilizers on the sides and only inflate the middle just barely. Then put the sxr in the middle like a sexy hot dog, attatch the two together and tow away! the sides of the weenie wont let it topple over and the front of the weenie wont allow the ski no nose dive and towards the back the ski will still be on the water weenie and wont allow water to enter the pump.

I think it will work!
