Bringing this thread back to life.... We should look into doing a ride in the GTA on Lake Ontario so everyone from Quebec/Kingston way and Niagara/London way can make it a little easier.

I know we tried last year. A bunch of us (4-6) ride at Frenchman's Bay in Pickering quite often. Lots of on lookers and a gorgeous sandy beach. Boat launch and parking steps from the beach.


im not sure if u can camp on the beach (doubt it) we could possibly get a permit?

There is Glen Rouge Campground located 10-15mins from the ride spot. Not sure if its any good.




Any other locations?

(Same place they do Wake fest, right downtown peterborough. I have ridden that lake, its a small lake and fun with the huge water fountain)

Anywhere along the Otonabee river. Its nice and deep with a lot of boat traffic in the summer. Not sure about camping.

You can camp at any boat lock. They charge by the foot! Might make for cheap camping, but people would hate the noise.

There are lots of campgrounds in the 5 or 6 lakes with 10 minutes of peterborough. They would all have beaches to ride from. (Chemong, Pigeon, Buckhorn, Stony, Clear, Sandy....)

My place: However I can't host that many people, no room.

put the trailers and campers/tents on the road or the launch area. Party at jons house lololol
