rode 47 degree water today and lost feeling in my toes even with 2 mil booties within 25 minutes of surf riding. I would need a dry suit to ride in ice water for sure.

we opened up the season here as well, was out on the lake saturday April 4th 2010. you know it's not that bad with proper gear (5-6mm) :biggthumpup:

I really liked your video because it was so very different…you had some really interesting footage, and it was put together well (loved the song too).
The footage of someone pushing the ski up out of the water onto the ice is epic (I definitely felt some emotion then), as well as making that path in the water. When I saw the guy on the ice patch, I thought of Frosty’s lucky dog.
I usually ride year round here (wetsuit), and if I didn’t have good reason to not be riding thus far, I would feel pretty lazy after watching your video honestly. I actually touched our water for the first time today, and it is pleasant with only a slight chill left…soon it will feel like hot bath water and be hosting active nose seeking amoebas (so you’re lucky in a way I guess). Looking forward to your next vid (and post some snowmobile vid when all freezes up again please)!
