Canada Stand Up Jetski Insurance??? :S

Hoping someone can help me find an insurance company in Canada that will insure a stand-up. I've called 4 places and they all keep saying they will not insure a stand up model due to increased liability. I tried MD Marine, StateFarm, Northern, another another one I can't recall off the top of my head.

Anyone successfully setup insurance on their standup in Canada? What broker/company?

Thanks in advance guys/gals.

I am not in Canada, but only way i've found I can insure my ski is with a personal asset policy through statefarm. As I understand it they are just insuring a set value you place on the item, I did need to supply them with a build sheet showing parts and value, but otherwise if I make a claim they just cut me a check. This is a 25k+ carbon ski, you should have more options with a RN.

Jeremy I’m with Canada Brokerlink a division of economical insurance and they were able to insure my sj. I never did it cause it wasn’t covered for January February and March. Which is when I use it a lot in florida. It was about $400

It will likely vary from province to province so you will need to do more specific homework unless you can find national coverage.

When I lived in BC, it was an adder to my house insurance. Skis had to be bone stock, locked in my garage and locked to the trailer somehow, otherwise no coverage. They'd still take my money but the second I unlocked them and hooked them to my truck, I wasn't covered. Liability was a separate policy.

In Alberta it was an individual policy per machine and ran about $250/yr. I had theft and liability but only if they were bone stock, (not even an impeller change unless it was an OEM replacement).
