Hey guys, so I was replace my crank seals on my 94, 701 SN, and I go toset the bearings on the pins and I can set the the 2 outer bearings and the very center bearing, but the two bearingsthat hug the very center bearing, the pins sit almost flush so they will just spin and not snap Into place. I can get pics tomorrow

Take it to a machine shop they will need to weld to the pins and remove them then clean them up and reinstall them to the correct height. Or if its a set of 61x case there cheap you can replace them for $50 usually.

Don’t over complicate things. Make sure your case half surfaces are clean and flat, then assemble the engine without the pins locating the bearings. As long as you use a fresh tube of Yamabond that’s nice and runny to lay out thin and don’t overdue the case sealer, the bearings will pinch like every other two stroke engine on Earth. Old case sealer, letting it flash off too long during assembly or over-doing the sealer so it shims the case half’s open are the reason bearing pins are in there. (And Yamaha wants you to buy an OEM bearing with pin holes) All my Yamaha engines are assembled from brand new virgin replacement cases that don’t even have pins installed and bearings have never been an issue. The line bore done by Yamaha is about.002 smaller than the bearings so you have “crush” holding the race from spinning.
