Super Jet Cant align driveshaft left to right

After many different methods of trying to align my driveshaft from left to right, it keeps hugging the left side of the tunnel. I dont have the the pins that hold the pump ears in place, could this be the issue? I inspected the driveshaft and it looks perfectly straight, so dont think its bent. Pump is pretty flush against the pump shoe. Pictures keep getting posted sideways but you get the idea.

Yes, like the buzzard said. Then use a 2x4 and wedge the tail end of the pump over while tightening the 10mm cap screws.

Sounds crude, but ive done that, and it def helps.
I think it also helps/best to remove midshaft and mount just the midshaft housing. Then align shaft to inner bearing race on midshaft housing. Hole is smaller than bulk head hole that way and makes it easier to eyeball center position, also i think that delivers a better true center alignment.
