can't complete a roll

I've been trying to roll off a cruiser wake( I know, should be easy right?) but I can't complete the rotation. I figured I would get this down first then work out a roll off my own wake. Anybody have some advice?

might try slowing down just a bit and then accellerate as you come up to the wave. Your getting rotation but your not getting enough height. Slowing down and then accelerating up the wake should help. Also, Start your rotation about a half a second sooner. The SXR is not as reactive to steering inputs as a SJ is. Your second attempt is almost there.

chuck your head harder. You throw it hard at first then halfway through the roll you stop leading with your head which slows your rotation. As kahuna said, slow down then full throttle it about 3 feet from the lip. It should give you more pop. You really have to throw your head to whip that heavy SXR around though.

Watch some of the knoxville guys old vids. The dude rolling the sxr used to chuck his whole body to make that thing go around.

That's kinda what I was thinking, slowing down into the wake. I'm gonna try that this weekend. The three attempts in the vid were just the best three out of 25 -30 attempts last weekend. Some were really ugly. I eventually want to go wake to wake with my roll, like the guy on the blue SJ in "The Addiction" teaser ll vid at 1:15 . I think that is pretty cool. I also tried a couple of backflips last weekend...pancaked them

My rolls look the exact same. I get upside down and the rotation stops. I am also going to try and tuck more in the tray and keep the pole low. Will try what was recommended here as well.

Turn the effing bars! :)
I kept pausing the vid & they are stright the whole time.

lol i paused it too now and see what you are saying. It was hard to tell at full speed.

Also, I can't tell because I didn't see a pic of your pump, But moving the steering ball closer to the nozzle really helps get more throw to add to your rolls.

My rolls look similar. I think I don't tuck enough. Big height in surf is forgiving, though, do I get them all the way around there.
Every now and then I get the technique just right and the boat flicks around super-fast and seemingly effortless. In surf, that had led to over-rotated rolls.

I got them figured out by august this year off of boat wakes. It takes a hell of a lot more "chuck" to go around then say a head high curler. I have over-rotated in the surf countless times now as well. Those hurt, because I get ejected once I land.

I have made two or three 85% around off my own wake on flatwater, but I only try them after refueling once or twice before heading out to the surf. Its definitely a different technique for the flat or boat wakes. You have to be way more tucked and throw it a lot harder. I really lead with my head on the flat.
