In the winter I always do conversion skis.. That being said, I've got my mind on a couple for this year...
701 Js 550 conversion
750 Js 550 conversion
1100 x2 conversion
Or maybe a stroker in my superjet and build a crazy engine for it?

Post some ideas, and things you would like to see done, in the winter all I do is build so by summer all I do is tune lol. But really, post some ideas and pics of cool ideas up.

Your one stop shop for quality parts @highspeedind
The 701 in a 550 would be cool. Here are some of the projects I want to do this winter.

Freshen up my SJ top end.
Help my GF paint her blaster.
Make the ski trailer nicer. (new decking, umbrella holder, beach stand holder, beach tote holder)
Build up a SN for racing next year (stock class)
Start making my own fiberglass parts (ride plates, foot holds, battery boxes ext)
Possibly move into a new shop and setup a whole new workspace.

Woah, interesting idear. I wouldn't of though of that. That means cutting the bottom outta a scrap superjet.. Would the gunwales line up?

That's my main concern with that idea, but seems like an awesome ski! The way I see it, I can do around 4 complete projects through out the course of the winter. And that's a nice contender!

I'm thinking about getting a storage unit to set up shop in. My garage is getting too small, I'd love the extra space and storage. My dad owns a big unit he stores his 30ft boat in and I sneak parts into as well, but my own shop would be sweet, besides work, I'd have to find ways to accelerate builds and repairs, but I'm siked, I'd love to setup my own shop. In fact..... Let me look into that rn

Storage units do not offer power typically and they do not "allow" you to work it it or store any sort of fuel or engines typically. However some are a lot more lax about things like that.

The one I'm going to is private owned, and is actually meant for people to work out of them. They have shop sinks, water, and electricity.

A unit would be awesome. Now that I think about it, I've got 30 builds to date for myself in the last two years. And quite a few for customers (custom builds for customers) and countless repairs for customers as well as freinds and myself. I think I'm ready to get some business cards and need to work on getting a mechanics certification asap. I'm pretty excited for it

I do sleds, bikes, and quads too :p lol

If you get in a shop, build a shop light like this when you're bored! It was my rainy day project a few months back...

Nice way to put a 550 to use lol. Though I will never do that to a 550 hull, I'll gladly get rid of a couple 650sx and 750sx turds and shove some lights in those haha

What state do you live in? Most will let you register them. The way I see it stand ups are only going to get more and more valuable

Ok, so far I've got a full js550 701 conversion on the list. What I really want to do is get the RHAAS pump conversion kit (allows you to bolt in, yes bolt in a 650sx pump into a stock 550 cavity) if they would stop clowning around and release it lol and use the rhaas motor and ebox conversion bolt in kits as well. That would definetly be the best route to go.
I've also got engine bay and nose reinforcement on the list, no cutting up anything though, at least I hope. Its a different story if I decide to make space for a pipe though.
