Freestyle Captain i need more power!!!!!!!

Im riding a 2000 yamaha superjet bone stock except for a worx flatwater intake grate, protec ride plate, and an aftermarket pump but nothing engine wise... im still having fun on my ski and learning i just want a little more power for a little more fun .... where should i start? oh and im tight on money so what will give the best output for the cheapest ....thanks

i started looking through all the threads like you said ... i just ordered a 13/18 solas impelller, a wet wolf pump cone, and handlebars... pretty much every thread has said that a pipe is very important i just cant fork over that much money right now

ya with these skis power is expensive, I know where you are coming from with trying to do things with no money. I just to alot of watching the for sale section then I snatch up single used pieces of stuff, fix what needs to be, and put it together when I get everything for it. I have been able to put expensive stuff on my ski for a fraction of the price as most every else doing this.

Best bang for the buck is a good milled stock head and then run premium fuel, compression does alot for bottom end hit...

Then later when u get funds get an ADA girdled head.

what does the pump cone do like the stubby ones? never understood it.

i always view the pump cone like a rear dif of a car/truck.

a stubby cone allows the water to combine quicker causing better bottom end hit but sacrificing top end. the opposite is true in that a longer cone forces the water to the edges of the reduction nozzle before combining at the exit, creating more velocity outword for top end.

if my logic is flawed someone correct me.

The only flaw is this: It's highly setup dependent. All you're really doing with a smaller than stock cone is unloading the engine at low RPM a bit.
Smaller cone means more volume for water in the nozzle, which means less pressure. If one is gaining huge amounts of bottom end with the cone, the drivetrain likely wasn't tuned right to begin with.

Uh, why did you buy a wetwolf cone when you have a aftermarket pump? What size cone was in the aftermarket pump?
