Carb Help

So I havnt ran the ski in over 6 years and decided to rebuild the carb recently since the diaphragm was bad. While I was in there I decided to take note on the jetting and seat size for reference. I was also looking through the forum to get a general Idea to what people have been running. So upon digging deeper into my carbs I notice I'm running 115 Pilot, 130 main, and 1.5 seat, spring not sure but it is a silver one. Does this seem right?

Specs are

aftermarket FA
ADA head 35cc domes
Factory B Pipe
Stock bore and stroke
MSD Enhancer
91 octane pump fuel

Got the ski out for the first time in a long time this past weekend. Changed everything to what factory pipe suggested for carb tuning and top end seemed good and responsive, no hesitations but down low I had a hard time keeping it idling or hard starting. Kinda seemed flooded, had to hold it at full throttle while cranking to get it to start. Too rich on the low speed screw? Smaller jet?

what are your screw settings at?

did you hook up choke and throttle cables in proper position?

full carb rebuild?

do you know what shape the reeds are in?

Right now high speed screw would be at 2 full turns out from closed. Low speed about 1 7/8 from closed.

No choke and yes the throttle cable is in the correct

First time running since full carb rebuild

When I last had it apart the reeds seemed to be fine no warping or chips missing. I'll be checking them again this weekend.

I don't know a ton about carbs yet but 2out does seem a little higher then normal same with the low speed. How does your needle and seat look? I'm guessing you didn't soak the carb when you took it out? Fuel line condition? Do you have a clean filter, is the vent check valve working etc.

If you have no issues at high speed though I would think the fuel flow is probably ok tho

I'm pretty sure on these carbs the idle is achieved by an orifice line that could easily get plugged up so you need to make sure it's all cleared out, I soak em then blow them out with compressed air.

You can try flipping the reeds around if they aren't fully sealing, make sure your needle and seat and high/low screws aren't worn out, my screws were bent from someone over tightening and needle / seat heavily worn out from vibration. Oh yeah also pop off pressure don't know if you checked that, I don't ever go by spring colours I used a home made pop off tester but just ordered a proper mikuni one so it's easier. But until your certain of that there's no point making other changes as it will drastically affect them

so I'm bringing this back up as I was finally able to get around to checking some things. First is the reeds look fine and look to seal good. For the pop off I'm getting some inconsistencies with it sealing. sometimes there will be bubble coming up and sometimes not. When there is a seal with it it pops around 28-29. So I'm assuming that that's going to need to be replaced but do I go with the same 1.5 size? what the pop off suppose to be at?

Needle and seat should be the smallest possible and 1.5 will flow as much fuel as the carb can theoretically handle so stay with the 1.5.

If your seeing bubbles that's most likely your hard start issue. The actual pop off seems low too, most things I've read point to around 32-35psi clean pop and reseal with no leak by or bubbles. Replace the n&s, set your pressure a bit higher and I think you will be good, you say the power when it's running is on point so you sound good there.
