FX-1 Carb jetting

Hey guys im looking for some advice on the jets i should run in my carb,
i have a ported 61x/61x cylinder running 180 psi with total loss and a type four dry pipe , and a stock 44. I dont have the funds right now to upgrade my carb, just wondering if someone has ran something close to this that could help me out. Thanks alex

I just went threw this. Test and tune is what you have to do. It would be nice if someone could give you the set-up you need but more than likely your going haft to find it yourself.

I'm thinking start with:

130 pilot 1 1/2 turns
165 main 2 1/2 turns
2.3 n/s
17 psi pop off


Over kill on jets, ride, check you plugs. Keep doing it tell you get it right.

I cannot for the life of me get mine tuned...

tried 3 different jest so far...

does any remember what comes in the stock 44? 115 low and 130high i think??

im at 120low and 135 high right now and im getting close...i hope anyway...got low on gas and gave up...its been 2 weeks and i think i might need some PRO help!??!!??

i think i get the lean bog and to rich confused....i cant tell what signal im getting...so i adjust out or in to see if its better and sometimes i get lucky to get closer so switch jets then i get no closer....arhrrhrhrhrhh frustrating

What alls done to your ski and whats your pop off also whats your n/s? Make sure the car is clean

I’m finding it easer to tune with old plugs. New plugs take to long to show a true reading.

Stock 44 has 115 and 135 with a 1.5 n/s 50 pop off. I think that’s right.

the Top end is fine....from 1/4 to full throttle it will pull hard and clean
its when im just chillin at 1/4 throttle rolling around to try a set up wake it just runs crazy ruff like WAY to much gas....so is it the LOW or HIGH at that point??

Could be pop off did you change or check that?.

Try a 1.5 n/s 115 and 145 with the gold spring 50 pop off 1 1/2 low 2 1/2 high. Just a starting point.

have not changed or checked needle/seat or pop....as i dont know how to...
where does the needle/seat say what it is? on the side i would assume...ill check it today

and pop i just change the spring as i dont have a pop tester...

let ya know what happens todays run...

that reminds me i have a R/D head with 180 psi also....forgot that

i got it real close today with the 130 main and 120 low....increased the spring

still seems to load up on me when im just cruising around it will just fall flat out of nowhere....and die...i have to feather the throttle around to get it to go again???

was the best its been and was fun to ride for once
