Super Jet Carb question

I'm fairly new to 2 stroke motors and tuning them. I will be picking up a superjet here in the next week and the elevation where it is now is pretty close to sea level and I live at 3500ft. I'm I going to have to re-jet it or just tune the carbs?

In my experience - going up and down in elevation for the last 20+ years... You can get away with just adjusting the screws IF (and this is the kicker).... If the carbs are properly tuned to begin with. It also will help tremendously to drop a dome size (assuming it has an aftermarket domed head). And finally, drop your impeller pitch one degree.

With the compression bumped back up to compensate for altitude and the impeller pitched down, the carb tuning becomes much easier too.

Good to know. It has a blowsion girdled head with 37cc domes. Should I get 35's or 33's I want to stay with pump gas. Not sure on prop. Probably a dumb question but how do you know when it is properly tuned. I'm assuming plugs look right and it does feel like there is a low, lagging spots in throttle.

I'm curious too. I bought a 2013 and when i asked the dealer about rejetting it they looked at me like i was crazy said it wasnt needed. I live at 5280'. what do you guys think?

I would recommend the 35's

And on the 2013, there are no high speed adjustment screws so the only way to adjust is to pull the carbs off & rejet.
