Freestyle Carb tuning for combos

Hey,
I'm not sure if I actually have a carb tuning issue, but sometimes when i get to flip 4 or 5 in a multiple flip combo I can feel the motor bog. I'm not sure if its just bad form or if there's a tuning problem. If you were going to mess with something to try and correct this, what would it be? I have a couple different theories - perhaps high speed jet is too small and after a few full throttle flips theres not enough remaining fuel for the 4/5th trick. Other theory: I need to go one jet size leaner on low speed so i can fatten up my idle mixture to keep more fuel in the motor while in the air and off the throttle. Anybody messed around with this?

Thanks!
-Jordan

almost forgot:
ET1107 200PSI domes
Novi 48s (60 psi return jet)
Currently running MSD TL but sometimes i run zeel
PFP
Skat 155 setback
9/16 -3mm cutback
current jetting: 145/115 (i think)

I would say not jetting. If it’s happy and responsive for the first trick or two, it should have no problem keeping fuel rdy to go.
My guess would be your exhaust loading up with water and lagging performance. I had to work Hard to get my setup to not load up after a few pulls at WOT. Try smaller inject jets or turn down your flow controll just to see if it responds.

That’s a great thought. Hadn’t even considered water. The motor does like less water at the stinger at low RPM but the water box gets too hot. Maybe I’ll try a bigger jet and tightening the FCV a bit to try to keep box cool while still restricting water down low.

I have pretty mush same setup as you, i just switch my return jet from 60 too 110 made a big diffrent.
Cool, ya thats another good thought. I did some fuel pressure tuning a few months ago but went back to 60 chasing tuning issues (ended up with cracked pipe). maybe i'll mess around with that again. 90 jet ran pretty good a few months back for me (can't remember what PSI it put me at though).

I have 49 FS and 120 put me att 1.5 psi at ideal, but lost some start up fuel pressure after ski hade been sitting soo whent 110

I've had this issue too, sometimes its a issue, sometimes its not. Feels like its too much water in pipe or maybe fuel delivery from tank due to being upside down, maybe sucking air though pickups. Not really sure though

Is your 145 the high or low?
I would definitely look into it going lean on the multiple tricks, it’s easy to check, just give it another 1/2 turn on the HS screws. Novi screws are very sensitive. Within a full turn you can easily go lean bog to blubbering rich with the screw alone if your jetting is correct. I would highly doubt too much water, your pump is only in the lake for a split second and back out again, I’m guessing that you aren’t experiencing too much water, that a first trick issue, rarely a 4/5 th trick issue.

Thanks @iQRTurbo good advice as always! 145 is low (reverse jetted). I’ll play with the high speed screw this weekend and see if it helps! Again, this could all be in my head but I can’t seem to get past 4/5 flips. For a while it was lack of confidence in foot holds but now that that’s sorted I feel like it might be tuning.
