Carb tuning help!! 66E 865cc w/ dual 44 mikuni carbs

searched but couldnt find much on my particular setup. Just looking for some baseline carb settings to get me going.

66E motor 865cc
84mm 1300r piston/cyl (no powervalves)
WDK pipe
powerfactor waterbox
12/17 prop
dual 44 mikunis

Hoping for some insight from some of you all that have used the 66e setups . thanks in advance

You might try reaching out to WDK and see what he recommends with this pipe.

I recommend throwing wdk pipe in the trash

Can't comment on jetting, try @SXR-FOREVER, he is building one right now too. I think you may not have enough impeller behind it, what hull?

Didn't write carbs spec down before I sold the WB800 with 44's. I seem to remember 120p 130m 25psi

frankenstein Yamasaki hull. 750 Kawi topdeck on a SN superjet bottom. She's heavy. about 130lbs bare with hood.
currently jetted 130 main 120 pilot 1.5 needle/seat 28 psi pop off.

It rode ok in daytona but it feels like there is much more power to unlock. currently not as snappy as my old ported 61x 760 but pulls through mid range hard.

What are your screws set at?
No PV is going to complicate things

waterdawg pipe, pfp waterbox. 1/2 turn on top and bottom and still too rich. I lost all my build pics when i got to excited to ride it for the first time and.. went in the water with my phone.

If it is the 1st wdk wetpipe, it has too much back pressure, hence the rich condition on jetting. Go test without a w/box before adjusting jetting

Thanks for the info. It is the old style steel wet pipe.. I'll try that out.
