just finished last night, ready for the water this weekend. long time coming with this one.
rpott carbon mod hull all the way from the phillipines, carbon hood with stock topdeck. new 1020 team mean doo motor, 48 novi's, vf 2's, miller q head w/ custom domes and manifold, coffman dry pipe, billet 148 scat/xscream pump

alot of work from louis of team mean to get this going, rear mounts are bolted to hull stringer, front mount has caged frame. custom machined couplers, complete rear stainless exhaust from stinger out the back.

sound is a little loud but mean as heck.

incidently anybody recognize the little rectangle of colors on the rear of the hull, that paint was under the sponsons. trying to maybe find some history before i cover it up.

Since stock blasters and SJ's are pretty close in weight (I think, right?) is a full carbon Blaster as light as a full carbon SJ?

Nice ski!

That would have been a Protec Paint Job. who did you get it from in the Phillipeans? Didn't Topher Borretta (SP!) live there, think he may have raced for Protec for a while. He did, he ran Sheldon's ski's in 2000 I believe.

i got it from paul del rosio (sp) he rides alot of macc's stuff. i am not sure who he got it from. it looks like protec stuff to me as well. i just do not know if anyone rode a mod rpott for protec or if someone just copied the paint scheme.

weight is not an issue it is to light now.

i added a 20 lb scat intake and a metal shoe for more weight low.

anybody got scat 148 props i need a bigger pitch. i got a new 9-16 and 10-18 in the boat. but we're thinking more like 15-21 to 23

very impressive. let us know what this thing can do, def get some video

If Lee Built it I can tell you exactly what it will do. Measure your arms from your wrist to your shoulder. Go ride it and come back and remeasure, it will be just a tad longer!!!!!! maybe 6-7 feet longer!!!!!!!!!!1:Banane13:

the factory yamaha carbon boats were from rpott per tim judge. as far as i was told there were not many of these made. i looked rpott up and the mold was destroyed.

the hull and hood are rpott, the topdeck is factory yamaha. this is because in mod rules you have to run a stock topdeck. honestly these hulls are awesome on a buoy course, but they are very unforgiving for any mistakes. i would not want this as a surf boat, it turns extremely hard and does not want to slide. any weight on the nose and it wants to turn. i could easily see it going down a wave and someone trying a cutback and it would just sub into the wave,.

but then again i used to rail a 440 :) so you can probably learn to ride it in the surf.

same here, i wanted to buy it and start producing the hulls my self. i really wanted the hood mold. the hood weighs about 6-7 pds empty w/ old school technology

but carbon blaster over in oz looks like he has made a similar hull mold. just wish he would incorporate the aluminum stringers mine have. makes it so much easier to bolt any motor and parts in.

not near as much as my legal race mod.

i would sell it and turn my race version into this version for the right offer.

i remeber the first time i raced tinkerbells mod. it threw me high side 2nd or 3rd tirn into the race
