Carbon B Chamber Opinions

I have been running a carbon fiber B chamber for a couple of months now and I have been able to test back to back w/my normal aluminum limited chamber, mod chamber and TNT chamber. I, nor anyone else that has ridden my ski lately has been able to feel any significant power difference after temps come up. So far I have been very impresed w/the power compared to the other chambers. I do not think it is more power than a normal limited, but I do not think it is less either. As I'm sure most everyone already knows, the carbon B is exhausting my 5mil Lamey if that makes any difference.

Is anyone else running one yet??? If so, what do you think about it??? (Other than the fact that they are sexy as hell, light as hell, and fit into the elbo much better).

Builder believes in the TNT's, I however do NOT have the patience to own/use one having to have it re welded every other ride.

Parr loved the motor, hated my pole/stng setup.

UMI -2" pole, Wamiltons turn plate -2", straight bars, KVPI trigger, can't remember brand of trim lever, WDK billet lowered pole bracket. My pole is real 'springy'.

I have been running one since March on multiple motor setups and am pleased. Like you said, no better performance than an aluminum chamber and no worse. Its light and looks trick but its not going to win competitions for yah :biggthumpup: IMO not worth the premium over an alum. chamber.

I love mine too!! I have been running it for 3 months and love the looks and the fact that it does not get hot. Also, it's a breeze to keep clean.

why would you have to reweld every other ride.

The metal kept cracking on one of the rings towards the end of the chamber.

I have 2 TNT's and neither one has ever needed to be welded. Do you have some major vibration going on or what? :261:

Not really much more vib than any other ski I ride, just a hell of alot more HP/torque. I loved the ease of removal of the TNT, BUT, the only reason the carbon B has been removed was to change a starter last week.(And with the B in there I can remove the timing cover w/o pulling the chamber).

I stopped by your dyno shop the other day and the carbon B made real good power on the dyno. Here is a pic of the 1st pull on the dyno-

still doesn't break TNT's.

I'm not trying to be an azz, just curious really. Do you have another problem (pourous material, bad weld, bad welder, etc, etc?). I like my TNT's and they have been really durable. Even the couplers have held up well.

Ultimately, I wouldn't mind trying a carbon chamber myself if I had the chance.

The problem was that when it was installed, the lord mount location wasn't where they wanted it. They cut it off and relocated it. The former location was ground smooth. Unfortunately, it was ground too thin and cracked. A patch was welded over it, but the crack kept coming back.
