I've done a lot of floor and transom replacements on boats, I wear a 3m respirator and do all my grinding outside, our winters are not generally that cold, so it isn't too bad. Sadly I have done a bit of grinding without a mask, and glass/gel-coat work in low ventilation, I alway feel bad afterwords, I stopped doing that crap.

Trimming, cutting, dust.....outside only with full protection, not very confortable , cannot wear correction glasses , and very hot inside but safer .

Thanks for warnings. I have moved my sanding outside and place a high velocity fan next to me so the dust gets blown away from me as I work
