Figured I would help someone through their workday by creating a build thread, and maybe get some help along the way. There has been a lot of fun and learning since I first started with my $700 650sx in 2009.

Hull/Controls:
Gen 1 BOB Carbon
X Metal adjustable pole
X Metal adjustable steering
PJS finger throttle
Stock SJ tank
CF internal fill

Power:
XS1000 (on first 90mm bore)
XS dual 46's
XS Boyesen manifold
B Pipe with Mod chamber. (gasket matched and bored )
ATP water box
MSD Enhancer
TBM Flywheel
SBP Flywheel cover

Pump Details:
Solas 144 Mag
11/17 Hooker (Have not tested yet, just got a good deal on the prop, any comments or concerns?)
X metal trim
Thrust exit nozzle

and you get the idea.

been accumulating parts over the last few years and figured why not go for it.

Hull will be prepped and trued of all abuse and manufacture flaws by Skibum (Shawn) and myself,
and painted by Crestwood Dodge in Garden City.
Paint codes:
Top - PVE Tangerine Pearl (GO-MANGO)
Bottom/pole - PX8 Gloss Black

Pumped for my first aftermarket hull build and a big thanks to all you who have helped me with builds, parts, and advice over the years!

Mostly ride on Saint Clair river, some lakes, and surf a couple times a year.

Pics to come
Joe

Sick! You might need a spacer for the b-pipe because of the power valves, I would go with a PFP, and get a set-back 148

If you fund it im in lol. My next mod is the 148 depending on how this does. I know the 144 isn't optimal, but it's what my budget can do. As for the spacer, I want to say the guy I bought the motor from wasn't running one. I'll confirm that.

bolt the pipe up and pull on the power valves to see if they hit the pipe, If not your good and dont need it, For the dasa motors you do need it tho

Got a couple little things done today since it was so nice out. Haven't had much time lately with midterms and the upcoming holiday at the bakery.

Stripped the old turf off the chinpad

Painted the bottom of the chinpad....
Should have filled in the scratches beforehand....

Filed down the trim arm a bit so it is not hitting the steering nozzle

Cleaned up the inside of the nozzle but didn't have the dremel around today
to smooth out the factory bilge intrusion

Cleaned up the gas tank a bit

Hull will probably go to paint after christmas so I can be a good boy and spend money on christmas presents instead of paint and turf...

Looking good guys! Next year you guys should head over by us and check out some of the new Bob stuff that we will have built;)

Thanks a lot. That would be a blast. My goal is to have the ski finished and tuned by wavedaze and bring it down there. Hopefully I can get some Practice on it before then also.
