Custom/Hybrid carbon or glass for flatwater amature

Look at swapmeet, he drove to Daytona just to ride the hull he was planning to buy. Get to havasu this year, be there the Monday after. I'm sure you will e able to try just about any ski that's on the market.

Yeah it would be great to go to WF this year to try some of these hulls. And I agree with you PROSOUTH that after getting a freak you are set. Just right now i can't get a badass ski and a badass motor. I guess i either get a good hull and great motor, or a great hull and good motor. Then the next year upgrade whatever was good--->to something great. Decisions, decisions....Just was hoping for some input. Thanks for all the good posts thus far, hope they continue till i can think of what path i want to go

i want to hear how you make a freak ride nose high. i cant get mine nose high unless i'm going 1/2 mph and as soon as you blip the throttle a few times to make a setup wake , its flat and on plane. great boat, but not for flat water.

Pull the trim, get your ass on the very back, and start wheely-ing.

What. Doesn't everyone ride like that?

How would great hull, small motor, and about no skills lol. Jk i think i can credit myself a bit more than no skill. Plus time will either make me a good rider, or one pissed off spectator ha

Get a great hull and decent motor(whatever you can afford) and practice your a$$ off! Learning the basics on a great hull is in my opinion the best way to go. Then when you can afford to upgrade motors, the tricks just become easier! And don't forget that a quality pump and prop setup can be a huge factor too!

And Buzz I was just riding a -4.3 Badass yesterday and it planes out way fast and tougher to make a good setup wake. I can still flatwater flip it but take me some good effort and Im about 240lbs and still planes out way fast!

either we are both doing it wrong or we both told it like it really is. let the knuckleheads figure out which.
