Blaster Carter B rocker nose and tails install help

I'm right in the middle of doing the Carter B rocker and tails on my blaster and have a few questions for anybody that has done the conversion.

For the nose, it appears you can either rivet on and glass over or cut so that it's edge to edge and just glass. If I rivet, is it difficult to get a smooth hull again? I don't want a bump at the transition.

For the tails, I've made my cuts, but both tails don't seem to line up well. The inside tunnel corner, bottom of hull and outside hull, line up, but I get about a 1/2" gap at the outside rear corners. Has anyone else experienced this? Do I jut trim the kit or rivet and try to flex into place, or...???

I'm sure there will be more questions to come and I'll post pix soon.

Here's a pic of one of the tails. Both sides are the same. The inside rear corner is flush and the hull lines up, but the outside rear corner sticks out. If I put the transom flush, then the hull doesn't line up. What's the best solution? Do I need to trim something off of the kit?

That's how my tails were too...I screwed them in place to get them tight than glassed from the inside...than had to do a lot of grinding from the outside to make it all flush and smooth transition.

Well, it's good to know that I'm not crazy. I assume you removed the screws after you did the inside glass work?

I do have a hull that has been fitted with the Carter front and rear but as I have not a clue about glass work, I paid someone to do it . Carter would be the best guy to help guide you through the process.

I did the overlay at the Buttom and have a "hump" did it because it did the hull stronger with the overlay on the Buttom but the rear, glassed it from the inside and did a lot of grinding to make i even on the outside. I just cut the kit to fit.

When I chopped the front off mine I used screws to hold it in place then did acouple layers on the inside. Then removed the screws and cut off the over lap on the outside. Except the bottom I left the over lap and just glassed in a bunch till it was smooth. Same for the rear, glass the inside first then trimmed off the outside edges to get a seemless fit.

Thanks guys. Those are the answers I've been looking for! I've got a clear picture of what I need to do now. This isn't my first rodeo, when it comes to glass layups, but definitely a first with doing a ski.
