Exactly. Kawasakis have a small deep dome. It would take a piece of ring or something like that hitting it in order to close that gap. I had no loss in performance after that would happen. That’s why I was thinking possibly extreme heat and vibration, but I’m not doing anything that thousands of people haven’t done before right? I put a head gasket in and that problem ceased if I remember correctly. It’s dawning on me now how much effect that base gasket would have on calculated compression. The difference between an .050 and .020 base gasket would be close to 1.5cc
So I suppose the OE CDI could only be using say, 9V to charge the coil whereas the Zeel uses 12 or something along those lines? There must be a lot of potting in the oe CDI or not much in the Zeel, or both. I guess components could all be close to the same size if only voltage was increased. Now then, if there is more voltage or more current arcing, how does it not change the heat of the spark? I am stoked on the Zeel and can’t wait to get it on the water. I was weary about MSD or total loss, would love a light flywheel but think I will be happy with the Zeel and Lightened stock wheel.
It is a total drag dealing with the quality of fuel nowadays, especially in California. I would assume that we are more heavily regulated and cutting our petrol with fermented corn or some other rubber rotting, moisture absorbing mierda.
