Super Jet CATS Trim Questions

I have a few questions about setting up a CATS.

First is what cable can be used that will fit through the factory bilge hole?

Second is what springs is everyone using to hold the nozzle down?

Third is how is everyone making a trim lever fit on riser bars?

Thanks for all the help.

Terry cable can make up a cable to your specs, I ran a 1" PVC pipe through my hull for the cable and it has a seal tight connector in the engine bay.

No need for a spring, the thrust holds it in position. My BMX trim lever just bolted right up however I did need to drill and tap it got the trim cable threads.

I used a custom throttle cable combined with a steering cable

Second is what springs is everyone using to hold the nozzle down?
Just some regular springs wedged into the bottom pump bolts

Third is how is everyone making a trim lever fit on riser bars?
A simple brake lever from a bicycle works good

How did you make the cable using a steering cable and throttle cable?

I have both sitting around right now that I could use so that would work perfect if I knew how to do it.

Thanks for all the help so far.

Correct me if I am wrong. But with riser bars I think you need the bar extenders to make them longer or the lever and s/s wont fit on the one side.

I went to Performancebicycle.com online and bought a brake cable from a tandem bike. The cable fit through the factory bilge fitting into the pump cavity.

I used a quality mountain bike lever that bolted right onto the bars.

You don't need a spring because the water flow straightens it out. The only time you need a spring is when your showing it off to your friends on the trailer. :).

I chopped both in half then spliced them together so that that the nub was on one side, while the other side had a slide with ball/notch adapter for the nozzle.

I took an old brake lever off a mountain bike that already had the hole for the bolt to go through and then drilled a small hole for the cable adjuster to thread into. The bracket is bolted to the upper right bolt for the reduction nozzle.
