Cavitation

I'm getting a small cavitation on my Aquabot I put silicone around the seal and pump shoe and it solves the issue now it seems that every other ride the silicone is peeling off and the problem comes back what kind of silicone are people using or r they using 5200 or something along those lines

I ended up using delrin shims on two of my pump bolts in my rok to keep the pump pushed up tightly. Worked well before my motor blew up...I also made a spacer by cutting the rubber off an old pump ring down to the metal. Hasn't used it yet but it looks like there's potential.

My only problem is the silicone keeps coming off the pump seal seems to be pretty tight against the shoe maybe I just need to try a different type of silicone or a thin bead of 5200

Oh by the shoe. I have that problem too...I was going to just replace the plastic with an aluminum shoe in the winter and 5200 it in for good. Does your pump shoe hang down past the hull a little?

Yea it hangs down a little past hull the shoe is 5200 in then I put silicone around the pump seal where it meets the shoe just incase and it hooks up good until like I said about every other ride the silicone peels off and it gets a slight cavitation

Yea everything went together smoothly and with Doing the flash light trick around the pump seal no light shines through

It's just a slight cavitation so I put the silicone around the inside like I always do and it fixes the slight cavitation until it peels off after the second ride

Weird shouldn't need silicone around seal, any indication pumps moving after a ride

Cool, using 155 OEM pump in my bot, have pump shoe tapped for the long pump bolts to thread into shoe

I have a 144 mag in mine and it hooks up great until like I said for some reason the silicone peels off worse case I'll put a bead of 5200 and that should deff not peel off
