CDI Modding Gurus...Help a brutha out

I have searched and read the a 650 CDI has a rev limit of 6500 RPMs, while a 701 has a rev limit of 7100.

Theoretically I can swap them out and get a little more out of my SN.

I have also found the mod where the rev limiter can be disabled with a jumper between 2 solder points on the 701 CDI.

Would these be the same 2 solder points on the 650? Is this the only thing I need to do(adding the jumper) If I just want to disable the RL? I realize I could add resistors, and a trim pot for adjustablility, but if i just jumper the 650 CDI will I end up with the same result as jumpering the 701?

Thanks

I have a modded 6m6 one off the wifes sn, for some reason on these you may/will loose the stop function. Would trade for another bilge switch.

the kill switch works by grounding the pulser coil, or the stators output to the cdi ( cant recall with out schematic)

I cant imagine how a rev limiter mod would change that.
