well,i guess to answer this ,the SXR motor in stock form is probably not going to be able to get it done( in my opinion ) without some of the right mods . i think the biggest thing to overcome and pay attention to in your build , is e box mounting ,its a tight fit using the stock box.the rest of the assembly is pretty straight forward .you will be happy ! its a great platform ,and should be able to bring your boat up to speed with mostly bolt on parts even make it flip capable.but as many on here will agree to , if your after that flatwater flip practice practice practice and get ready to shell out some $$$$$$$ . i tried to take what i have learned on what works and doesn't for the SXR and came up with this simple recipe :FP wet pipe , TBM flywheel,advent ignition,head with mild compression,v-force 3 reeds, key player is a solas pump, 13/17 scat trak cut back prop (note a simple list doesn't = cheap). these are just suggestions or food for thought .but one things for sure ,you need to improve the SXR stock low end to flat water backflip , the rest would be up to you .even if you do a little at a time you will be having a blast for sure ! pm me if you have any questions i will try to help as much as possible .
