Cheap alternative for trim cable?

Hey. So my Xscream trim cable snapped, the outer cable.
Has anyone used a cheap alternative cable for trim cable?
And does someone have the size, length for the scream trim cable and the throw length?

Call these guys up and tell them what you are using the cable for. They should be able to get you setup with something that wont break or stretch.

Maybe I'm too resourceful, but before I bought a legit trim system, I found jagwire stainless steel tandem bicycle rear brake cables and a roll of cable housing on Amazon and built my own cable very cheap.

I bought one from Terry cable, works well. http://www.terrycable.com/ I paid $65 I think, without shipping. Call them up and say you need a trim cable from a rickter, they will know what you're talking about.

I have done the same on 2 skis and had NO issues yet. One cats system is going on 3 years now. Stainless steel jagwire for the win. You can order the sheath cable housing in 25 foot roll and then just get the length cable you need. I might have 40 bucks in 2 cable setups.

The sheath comes with a bag of metal end caps. They are not threaded. I made a bracket that had a counter sunk hole to hold it.

I was talking about the cable end that has the threads to use a steering cable style end.
