Cheap Superjet exhaust for a gain? 701

is there a cheap way to set up exhaust for even a small gain in hp? is some kind of "cheater Pipe" for a 701? on a budget, and if not how much should i look to pay for a stock exhaust?

You try to find a ProTec or Riva Red pipe which go for $300-$350. Those will give you a significant gain. Or you can dry out a stock exhaust for a small gain. You can usually pick up a stock exhaust for $50-$100.

you could mig aluminum spool it, but being a nasty very nasty casting the best bet is to tig it with a 4047 or 4043 around mating edges then you could mig it a lot better.

I tried to get a wejet pipe to work. After cutting it and taking it to a shop to weld. They welded it at the wrong angle. So after re cutting it and trying to get the angle right, I ended up cutting out two big of wedges for it to work. (the diameters were now vastly different)
It also required a lot of work in grinding the hull so it would fit and moving the Ebox.
Luckily, i found a new hull in MUCH better condition, so I ended up putting a 6m6 exhaust on it just so I can ride it this year (still havnt). Im glad because my hull grinds were ugly.

So i too am looking for cheap gains.
I am trying to search on if someone successfully got a kawi 650 pipe to work. I have seen it called the SJ "cheater" pipe.

I just don't know what exhaust manifold will work.

Search Lazerman 650sx Dry Pipe mod over on PWCtoday. I have one in my conversion ski. I lengthened my 650sx stock pipe 3 inches and did the dry pipe mod. Runs pretty good, but nowhere near my Factory Bpipe

For the cost of trying to find a Coffman or factory pipe manifold and stock js650 exhaust you'd be better off just finding a Protec pipe and be done with it. They go for $350 or so and come up quite often. An exhaust is worth spending the $$ on.

For the stock exhaust you can add a bypass to a pisser in the line between head and pipe. Dries it out a bit. Other than that there is no miracle mod to do to a stock exhaust, it's just a poor design to start with.
