Other cheap trailer

So I got into skis about 4 seasons ago, and I always just threw it into he back of my 4runner. It sucked, but worked. As more and more of my friends got into the sport, transportation started to become interesting. Anyway, a 20% off coupon at harbor freight yielded this gem for $174 out the door(1075 lbs capacity). I lengthened the tongue about two feet and built a pin system for the front. The rear uses a retractable tie down for boat trailers. Worked well all last season, even over some of the nasty roads ive pulled it down ha. I'm curently adding some length to the rear, and a pin system for the rear as well. Its snug, but fits an x2 as well as my SX turd.Thoughts?

This was the turning point haha

I used one of those small Harbor Freight trailer kits for about 5 years to haul my 750 SXi Pro until we bought a second ski. It was lightweight, easy to move and never gave me a problem. Sold it after 5 years for a profit! Not bad I guess.

Screw the trailer I like whats pullin it nice 4 runner. Lookin at selling my jeep for a clean first gen but rust is a big problem on this side of the cou try.

I have that same trailer but with the 8'' wheels setup for a single ski in the center. I also lengthened the tongue, and made it adjustable for backing into questionable ramps with my small car. I've been thinking about revamping it to fit 2 skis side by side. Are the rails on your ski's bumping? The way I have it measured right now, I will have to extend the bunks over the sides of the trailer to avoid the skis from bumping into each other int he center.

thanks guys, The runner is my other money pit. Started off as a stock 86, then i did the Straight axle swap blah blah blah. I just rebuilt the rear bumper to replace the one that I had bought,(last pic) to give it more of a personal touch ha. The rails clear by about 3 inches with the 650/550, but rub slightly with the 650/x2. The longest I have to go with it is just over an hour away, and it seems to be ok.

For those interested, heres a couple pics of rigs we've built. All with the super trailer.

looks nice, I like the front mount you made. I got one from a friend, he had lengthened the tongue, I added another steel bar inside of the tongue for extra strength and welded the trailer up for even more strength. I already have several jet ski trailers so i rigged it to haul my bikes. make sure you look after the bearings. they are metric and are kinda hard to find. I read that they come packed in shipping grease that needs to be removed and packed with the proper grease or they will fail. my friend didn't do that.
