Well stator ohmed out ok. Coil was NFG 75+ ohm between orange and black and 0 ohm between plug wires. MSD coil ohmed out ok but I was not getting a good reading between the plug wires. I cut a good 2 inches of each and re-terminated and was getting a reading 4.6k ohms. Put everythign back together and I am getting a nice blue spark. I will try that until my new 760 coil comes in on friday.

I am 99% sure this is an ignition problem. I was having the same issue last year and have since drained my gas tank.. Thanks for the heads up though.

I heard something on the radio once, some commentator talking about something or another, then I hear them say "95% of the time we are 50% correct" or words to that effect.

Mark laid up the hull. I did everything else. But on that note maybe I should have Paul from LPW have a look. I think he is kind of slow right now.

Paul,

Just for reference:

The coil you gave me to try tests good between the plug wires (4.2 ohm)
Between the ORANGE and BLACK, its not in the spec (.05 ohm)

Might not be a bad idea, I would guess he would have it figured out and on the water sooner......... Oh wait, you know more about ski's than 95% of us.. But, if that the case, I guess this is the one time where you are totally lost.......

Good Luck, I hate screwing with Electrical issues sometimes they are not electrical issues at all but could be a fuel issue.
