Here is my 2cents,
Let's say u bust your azz and the ski is upside down in the water,
water runs in the hood like there is no tomorrow,
oem or other oem style air box scoops water in,
roll ski over and hit green button,
or worse yet
ski is still running and you nail the throttle,
ask XFTLOU what happens next!!!
Now, take a Prok with a outerwear over it,
the outerwear slows down splashing water while riding,
the prok has a cone shape in the middle totally deleting the bowl effect
turn the ski rightside up and an water sitting in the F/A gets forced out of the Prok.
Seems like a simple answer to me.

I know what u mean-I have a carbon fiber limited chamber under the hood of my ski thanks to an awesome sponsor-Alabama Prosthetics Inc aka crammit442. lol The awesome part is-it is perfectly made and makes the power where I want it and does not lose any power after it gets warmed up.
