Super Jet Check out my Fuel!!

Did a fountain and then my ski started cutting out. then I had to be towed in. My fuel tank vent line popped off causing major water ingestion. I thought it was my ignition at first, but then I noticed water on my plugs. I decided to do a take a fuel sample and here's what I got..

Nice.
That's how my brothers fuel looked one year in his 750.
Would always break up and die while wide open.
Was coming in around the fuel neck during subs and fountains.

Push through. It'll burn off
fuel pickups are at bottom of tank. i was running av gas, so i guess it didnt want to mix. i was litterally trying to burn straight water. i could start it on starting fluid, and it would run for about 5 seconds then just choke out. i took all the fuel out and put it in the clear tea containers, then i just let it sit and seperate. then i siphoned just the good stuff from the top or the containers back into the tank. all is good now!

Braver than I am, I would have tossed it all in the fire pit.

I used to get 45 gallon drums of Av that had been pulled from remote fuel dumps to be recycled. The owner of the bulk plant would kick it to us to use in our sleds and watercraft. We had special filters to separate out the water and would process all the fuel before we used it. I used to think that the water we removed was from leakage into the barrels from broken seals but I got a couple sealed barrels once that were both almost 1/6th water.
