I like it. The rear looks like a Submarines propulsion system. Little bit of work and you will have a totally different looking ski, but all X-2. Good find man.

thanks guys.

I need your suggestions. I want to lower the hood, but don't want to mess the green paint up so here's my idea: lower the hood and then rattle can over the new fiberglass in a stripe. This will let me keep the green paint

here are two options - black or white - let me know what you like! (I'd match it with green, but the colors will never match)

Black matches everything else. You never see anything with white racing stripes.

unfortunately here is how she sits. I will dig it out this coming week and shorten the hull 1.5" as well as chop the hood. I would like to use the kit, but (1) I'm keeping this on a budget and (2) the molded in air intake complicates things - in order to keep from having to repaint the whole ski I can only cut into the hood in areas that will be covered by the thick black stripe

Here are my current costs for this x2

$300 - complete x2 (in pieces, needed a crank seal)
$60 - crank seals, oil block off, crank case block off
$30 - misc parts to get it running
$60 - green hull

$450 = Total

does it look like the hull has already been shortened?

the distance from the rear edge to the furthest forward part of the footwell is 45 inches

sorry about the crappy phone pics

It hasn't been cut. The stock rear side bumpers are still there and the hull meets the end. So, IMO it has not been shortened.
