I agree with these guys shaun, that thing looks alot more complicated than a plain ol hose clamp, plus its not reusable.
 
I used that tool at PRI last week. It is very cool and quite easy to use. I surprised that you can get it very tight and doesn't cut the hose. There are only 2 draw backs that i could see 1) working in tight areas and 2) cutting the clamp off with out cutting into the hose.
 
who care about reusable... you guys are making it sound like the stainless wire cost a fortune when the dam hose clamps are way expensive ( bought the super corrosion resistant stainless from mcmaster and they still rusted) the wire clamps better then a hose clamp also.

my buddy decided to use some of the hose clamps you install with a tool

first ride out was cleveland rock n ride

at this event you end up on a pebbly beach quite a distance from your car and tools...

can you see where this is going.....

so he ended up with a small stone in a cooling line, after tearing all of the hoses off we found it, back flushed it using another ski

then he had no hose clamps....

once you have a situation where you realise the standard hose clamps have the right fit and function it all makes sense

OP: how often do your hose clamps rust out?? stainless clamp or stainless wire, its quality you need not gimmick
