Guys,
As some of you may know that the Claybanks Township Park wants to make sure that we operate within there rules and guidelines. This park is geared toward family use, but they are welcoming us for this freeride with conditions. They do not want this freeride to turn into an wild party where anything goes. This past Monday night Cybermob and I attended the township meeting expressing our groups ideas and the plans we had. They were not overly excited about us using the park, since in the past this park has been known for some pretty wild activity. They have turned the park into a family based park and want to keep it that way. I will attach the park rules that they have in place already, we will follow them and those indiviuals that do not follow them will be asked to leave the park by park officails. None of us want this to happen, we all really enjoy this spot for this freeride and don't want a couple indiviuals ruining it for the rest of us. Lets let the past be in the past and look forward to the future!
Also, there will be a Jetski area south of the stairs, this area will be marked off with a sign and a couple bouys. We will park our skis in this area and we can ride close to shore in this area as well. Once we are 200 yards from shore we can ride anywhere on the lake. Some of you will be fairmilar with this, it is similar to the Daytona Motosurf. The swimmers will have the north half of the beach and we will have the south half. IMO, we will be just fine with this area, it is a rather large area and has an AWESOME beach. For those of you that have never riden Lake Michigan, you are in for a treat, it is a beautiful lake with very clean water!!
We also will be supplying garbage cans and a Butt Bucket to help keep the beach clean, please use them.
The rules are in place so we can come back to this park in the future for future freerides.
I can't wait to see all you guys and enjoy this freeride! Let's hope and pray for some good surf! I was out on the lake yesterday and there was some pretty nice 2-3 footers!! :brap:
