clear sludge

Went riding today and before I went I checked out the bilge area and noticed it had a clear oily sludge on the bottom of the bilge area. Never seen it before, didn't smell or look like oil or gas. Ski ran great all day no issues at all, so does anyone know what the oily sludge could be?

Water sitting in your hull? If it sits long enough it could start to algae up and get gross

It was less than a week. It was super slimy and thick. I am wondering if the gas broke down the spray on liner in my hull.

If it was gas, no matter what it dissolved, it would still smell like gas and you said it didn't have a smell. Your battery didn't leak, did it?

Your cases could be cracked. Seen it happen like that.

No battery leak. Vortex you said you have seen cases crack, and leak a clear slime substance that doesn't smell like fuel or oil? Guess maybe I should do a leak down.

Yes, this was on a buddy's dasa stroker. Found the clear sludge in the bottom of the engine bay, but it seemed to run fine. We couldnt figure out what the stuff was. Looked like lucas oil synthetic stabilizer. He pulled the motor and found a crack in the case.
