Southern Utah is epic if you felt like driving up a bit further North on the way back after Havasu. There are some epic hikes in Zion (Angel's landing!!) then over to Moab for Dan Mick's Jeep tour (Had no idea a Jeep could do that!). So much stuff to do and see around that area. Seriously awesome mountain biking if you do that. All kinds of stuff to do in Colorado on the way back too. Might be a bit too far North, but Steamboat DH park is awesome and Strawberry hot springs is right there too (topless after dark!). Definitely hit up a downhill bike park and rent a bike for a day!

Great to hear you guys are coming out! It will be a epic trip. You and Frank are some of the OG's on this site (I don't get on here much anymore, but this thread caught my eye).

Anyway, hope to meet up with you somewhere along the way. Our crew from Colorado will be in Oceanside Thursday (11th) thru Saturday morning and in havasu Sunday through tuesday

Looks like everyone's suggestions are on point and you will have all the hot spots covered, so nothing for me to add...

We used to do the pismo freeride every year for over 10 years but recently we shifted gears and have been doing the oceanside/havasu trip instead. Not that I'm suggesting you miss Pismo... definitely need to check that out! But we only have so many days and can't squeeze it all in anymore. Make the most of it and safe travels!

Always enjoyed partying and riding with You Colorado guys in Pismo but me and Rick have missed you last couple years. Maybe meet up at Oside instead this year waves have been good. So many things to see and as always time is short

Not too much has changed since my old SN build thread days I Just got older and my skis got more expensive haha

It looks like our dates and places may match up. I'm sure we will want to ride Oceanside after all the recommendations. We also should be in Havasu around the same time as your group. We would love to meet up! I'll shoot you a PM to connect.

That's to get on the beach and ride correct? We will still need to leave at night to sleep somewhere. We are looking for a campground near by or may boondock it in a parking lot.

I am not sure. I think the 4x4 87$ one is for beach camping? Not sure if it covers the whole event 11-14th or not.
