That red water line that T's off and heads toward the fuel tank.... what does that lead to? A pisser or something? I can't quite see it in the picture.

The fitting that you don't yet have a water line on (right over the exhaust manifold) is supposed to lead to a pisser.

I posted a pictures here showing the plumbing on my coffman pipe. Scroll down to the last post in that thread.

did you touch the carbs at all?
cause buttom end is great but top feels a bit funny.

as well what kind a 90degree pisser are you guys using?
for now i only ran a hose to choke location and left choke under the hood.
but hot piss is always in my face :scratchchin:

thanks...

Here is how mine is setup. I switched it around a few time and this is how it seems to stay cool enough and most bottom end. I get some pull to about 3/4 throttle than no acceleration for the last 1/4, but Im not looking for top speed anyway.

that is the same as others, except you decided to run lines on both cylinder heads, whitch i want to do as well.

and did you touch your carb settings at all?

Sorry, I didn't see this post... thanks for the PM reminder.................

When you install a sizzler on an otherwise stock 6m6, you do have to change the jetting.

Assuming everything else is stock, here is the jetting that coffman recommends:

2.0 needle and seat
125 main
low speed 2 turns
high speed 2 turns
20 pounds pop off (65 pound spring)

That is straight from the Coffman installation instructions.

For anyone who finds this thread in the future, note that this jetting is for the 44mm carb that comes on the superjet 650, not the 44mm carb that comes on the Superjet 701, or an aftermarket 44mm. The internal circuits are very different.

If you're not sure what kind of 44mm carb you have, I have seen threads about that topic here on the X. Chucky Q at team scream has posted a good explanation of how to tell the difference. If I understand it correctly, the 650 44mm carb is all you need if all you're doing is adding a pipe and other basic mods. If you're going all-out on your motor, the 650 44mm carb probably won't flow enough fuel unless you have it modified. I had mine done by Group K. Of course, if you're going all out on your motor, you're probably going to have your carb modified no matter which type you have.

good stuff!

I guess i will need to look what's inside of mine,
but assuming its a stock 650, are all jetting smaller??

thanks for the nice write up!!

I'm not sure if I understand your last question exactly but the stock jetting is smaller in the sense that it does not allow enough fuel through to handle the flow of the new pipe.

In other words, with the new pipe, you put in bigger jets to allow more fuel through.

If you run stock jetting with the new pipe, you would be way lean. You would have very lazy acceleration due to lack of fuel and might even be lean enough to seize your motor, I'm not sure.

I see you asked earlier about what type of 90 degree pisser. If I had it to do again, I would go with a 45 degree because its easier to use Quick Mick's backflush kit with a 45 degree. (Of course if you're in Toronto I guess you probably don't do much salt water riding. >:) )

Contact Tom 21 on this site and tell him what you want to do with your plumbing and he can get you the parts you need. Sending the pisser into the foot tray actually feels pretty good on cold riding days here in Canada. I drilled a hole in the left side of my hull for my pisser and it still splashes back on me, especially when I turn to the right. I get a golden shower all day long when I'm riding. >:)

I appreciate all the input!!

got some jets today to match the pipe, they didnt have 125 so i had to go one size up witch is 127.5 and they didnt have 65 gram spring.
i should be able to get it next week.

will i be able to run stock spring with this bigger jets for now ?? (95?)

tom21 is great guy! got some rear and front footholds off him as well as some nice tubbies!

but getting all my fittings from jetskihaven already, i didnt even know tom selling them. think the price is reasonable and everything is in stock!

and i'm getting 90 deg pissers cause i'm running yamaha's inline flush kit but want as less direct/streight water in my tray as possible,
unless someone really wants to talk me out of it for some reason?

I really don't know, re: your jetting. My only jetting experience is going through the low and high speed screw adjustments with a tach, when I knew the other jets were correct. Keep bumping this thread, someone will know.

I have seen a couple threads here talking about warm water in the foot tray. I ran mine out the side, and being a computer geek, even labelled them for the break-in period to see how they were flowing. >:)
