Cold fusion pole bracket issue

So i have a 2012 superjet. Im currently installing the cold fusion billet pole bracket and everything went smoothly until i noticed that the center hole of the bracket doesnt line up excactly with the hole in the ski. Has anyone else had this issue. Do i simply just cut it out? Or is something wrong. Bracket can only go on one way and everything else lines up perfectly

Let me know what you think

I think you need to call Carl and ask him instead of asking all of us........ But honestly. Mount the bracket. take a sharpie and trace the hole. Remove bracket. take a dremal with a sanding drum and just grind out the exposed glass.......

i think cold fusion did that so there is less stress/pinching on the cables/wires going through there with a pivot bolt. As BK said, trimming it up is not going to affect strength there.

I agree with the others. I would however reinforce the area on the inside of the hull and make sure you have a beefy backing plate.

Talked to cold fusion today and everything is good. Said everything will fit thru the hole fine but if I want to I can trim the excess so no future rubbing issues. Which is what I'll do

Thanks for the input

I have that same cold fusion bracket on my superjet and I like it so much I just ordered a new one for my new ski. Add a little 5200 to the base of the rubber grommet that you put the cables through. Mine popped out a few times before I added the 5200, it would have saved me a lot of work if I had done that in the beginning
