Ok I know this is a tease and I will give more build details and ride impressions as time permits but to sum it up after its maiden voyage
this hull Rocks! Its not quite as bolt together as other hulls, but well worth the effort. handling is very similar to a Rickter FR-2 but a bit more positive, , it is comfortable any any part of the wave, I was instantly completely comfortable on it in some good sized surf,
Dasa 850 provides super smooth linear power and purrs than growls
I need to pitch up at least one size on the impeller maybe 2, The pole spring system I designed only gives 80 lbs of lift and for the pole i am using I need at least double that . so I am replacing the heavy billet pole with one of Tem's carbon poles, a few minor details to dial in with the hood seal and foothold padding and this is going to be an epic surf machine
come check it out at the Blowsion surf slam next week or the world finals on Oct

Yeah, That boat was SWEET! I helped load it up on Saturday with my one good arm and it was pretty damn light too! (btw Crab its only a separated shoulder, nothing broken just really swollen:crutches: )

Ok a bit more time on the water, and a few tweeks, 1st, got rid of the heavy pole for one of Tems carbon fiber poles, this thing seems bullet proof,
machined it to accept delrin bushings on the bottom and bored the top to accept the stock yamaha steering bushings for the turnplate. I moved the springs inboard so they are hidden now . I now have a neutral pole balance,
than We put 2 air intake hoses in the hood and now have only one running up the pole, this has let the motor breath better.
Now that we had some time on the motor we put a bit more timing to it to wake it up and leaned out the top end
Tem himself got to ride it so hopefully he can chime in with his thoughts

the balance on the hull is phenomenal and dosnt have the teaspoon effect that other rocker hulls seem to have
due to the heavy bottom and light top its almost like a weeble and helps right itself if you land off axis.
The Dasa 850 is soooo smooooth you may think its an electric motor. we set it up for a linear power curve, and I must say it hits hard off the bottom and just keeps pulling from there, without being violent anywhere

I did get the chance to ride the short carbon version with rear rocker in the surf, and I now understand peoples comments about going shorter on the hull length
its was only slightly less stable and really fun to ride, however for west coast surf the standard length glass version that we built seems perfect to me, but my skis never see fresh water.

Carl, I think you have the ski very dialed in all kinds of surf but especially the big stuff , it was very easy to hop on an be at home on , for my fetish I would put a flush rocker ride plate and shorten the pole 2" but I think 90% would love your setup better. The motor and pump combo is magic, perfect power and hookup. I hope to ride/test/tune more next year or before with you.... and the machine shop (if you can call it that ) was the most insane 20,000. sq ft of metal magic I have ever seen, I lost count of the various CNC machines and metal fab equipment I'm still blown away.
