Super Jet Compatible SJ rideplates

Will a VXR ride plate fit on a 1997 superjet? Mine ripped off the other day and looking for a quick, cheap replacement. Stock is fine. I'll post a picture of this later you guys have gotta see how it ripped off.

Also let me know if you've got one for sale.

Thanks, Ross

I want to say that it will, I was running a sitdown rideplate on my superjet for a while, can't quite remember what model it came off of. It did result in a half inch gap between the front of the rideplate and the pump shoe/pump cavity.

alright thanks for the input. I just read something similar on pwctoday. I dont want that gap so ill stay away from the vxr rideplate.

Gap? You mean "aggressive traction scoop"

So here's what happened after catching some good air. The ski landed in the water completely vertical with the back end first. And there's no chance this hit bottom.

Stock superjet plates are notoriously weak, get yourself a cheap aftermarket one like that Protec from DAG.

Yup all over it. DAG's hooking it up. Even though it was old and weak i could not believe it ripped off like that. It was so funny trying to ride back in with no ride plate. Porpoising like a MOFO
