Other Complete newb about to spend $$$$$

There's the problem and are you really going to blame that on Seadoo rather than on the previous owner neglecting the machines and possibly not knowing what he was doing when modding them?

Yes, I would agree with you on the sitting for years issue, but the exhaust valves dropping, flywheel bolts breaking, ECU resetting, and most of all SC clutches shattering are very common problems with these RXPs.

And turbos rusting, pumps and engines blowing altogether, fuel pumps failing, etc etc etc is nothing new in Hondas, Kawasakis, and Yamahas. I wouldn't say the Seadoos are any more susceptible to problems than the others.

Maybe I got lucky :dunno: I just haven't seen it around here.

(Except for that one destroyed block a couple years ago. "I let my buddy use it")

Before limetedslip7 replaced motor for said buyer. He was quoted from a local shop a price of 8000 to tear down and possibly replace motor. So if you don't feel comfortable doing all maintance and repairs yourself. I would say pass on it. If your OK with doing a lot of prevention maintenance go for it
