I'm still trying to decide myself. I had the old style WCF rickters on my square and liked them however the top of my foot would hurt after a while and at times my feet would get stuck after a bail. I heard the new style rickters were redesigned to cover more of the top of your feet and more comfortable. On the other hand I like design of the REV's but have never tried them. Any input???
The revs will change the way you look at holds. Your foot hurt because the other footholds were really toe holds that is all that was in the hold. These hold your whole foot all the way to the ankle. Did you see the pictures of my ski with the revs. If your ski had no sides on it just a flat deck from bump rail to bump rail. And you stood on the deck right where you wanted so that your feet faced foreward and were right to the outside edge so that you had more controll and then had someone build the ski around your foot you would have a copy of the REV footholds. They are that good and if you have a small foot there is enough room to pad the top of the foothold also so that it fits your foot exact. And if you pad them right they will fit your foot and up your ankel if you want.
I wear a size 8.5 so I had one layer of 8mm padding on the top of the hold and a 1.5 inch kitchen mat with 8mm padding on bottom under my foot. When you jam your foot in there it was snug but soo comfy. They fit like a condom. They touched all over not just the top of the foot
Sounds like I like them... If Jeff reads this I need another pair for my other ski. How many do I have to sell to get a free pair...LOL
