Comprehensive Foothold List with Install Guides

I'm still trying to decide myself. I had the old style WCF rickters on my square and liked them however the top of my foot would hurt after a while and at times my feet would get stuck after a bail. I heard the new style rickters were redesigned to cover more of the top of your feet and more comfortable. On the other hand I like design of the REV's but have never tried them. Any input???

The revs will change the way you look at holds. Your foot hurt because the other footholds were really toe holds that is all that was in the hold. These hold your whole foot all the way to the ankle. Did you see the pictures of my ski with the revs. If your ski had no sides on it just a flat deck from bump rail to bump rail. And you stood on the deck right where you wanted so that your feet faced foreward and were right to the outside edge so that you had more controll and then had someone build the ski around your foot you would have a copy of the REV footholds. They are that good and if you have a small foot there is enough room to pad the top of the foothold also so that it fits your foot exact. And if you pad them right they will fit your foot and up your ankel if you want.

I wear a size 8.5 so I had one layer of 8mm padding on the top of the hold and a 1.5 inch kitchen mat with 8mm padding on bottom under my foot. When you jam your foot in there it was snug but soo comfy. They fit like a condom. They touched all over not just the top of the foot

Sounds like I like them... If Jeff reads this I need another pair for my other ski. How many do I have to sell to get a free pair...LOL

thats whatcha want..... being held onto your ski by your ankles. yikes.

might, as well, just put a couple of 2' lengths of 6" pvc sticking up out of the tray and say theyre better bcause theyre knee holds.

It would be nice to be able to ride a couple skis with different footholds to see which ones I like. I have a couple more months to decide so I will do my homework. Thanks for the input.

Has any one ordered WD holds recently? I want to make sure I dont have to wait a month to get them. Also how hard are they to install this will be my first install.

I am putting a set of WD REVs into a 750sx right now. got them in a week on the east coast which was fast shipping. I havent ridden with them (other than trailer surfing) but I think I am going to love them. they do take a little work; it is my first install also. I can hook you up with templates.
also I can only get to work on it on the weekends and it is too cool here this weekend to pour resin :frown:

If you decide to go with the WD holds, know that you will have to cut the right mold and reglass it for going over the exhaust tube. This was in a square, but I think it would be the same for a round nose; anyone??
Also it is alot more of a "freeform" style install, and not direct like many others that have a lip around the hold to screw and 5200 in.
with that said, I do like how they feel in the garage, and they look alot more comfortable than other holds I'v tried.

anyone have any input on the mashers for the sxr? the idea of not having to slice up the tray is appealing to me

I read through this thread. I like what people are saying about the revs. Can anyone comment on using/installing them on an sx-r? Does anyone think these are really bad for an sxr or think there is one that is really good? Thanks.
