Freestyle Cons of back flipping a SN off a boat wake

So I have my moderately done up SN with a single carb 701 piped hooker 9/15 prop and a pole limiting strap ect. Im also built like a string bean and weigh 150lbs soaking wet. What are the cons weak parts ect if I try to backflip off a double up wake if I don't come around land upside down sideways ect? Both boats are big dollar wakeboard/surf boats so the wake will be a nice size. I know at some point I'm going to be full of liquid courage and have friends egging me on. I'd just like to be prepared to fix my ski quickly if I mess something up.

Reinforce the engine bay and the handpole mount and you should be good.

use hood straps and a pole limiter rope and pray your engine mounts are up to the task.

wear a helmet and dont ride while full of "liquid courage"

Stock motor mounts wont hold up when you land upside down a few time, I know from personal experience.

Dont forget to reinforce the hood or it will crack down the sides very easy, same with the metton hull.

You can do it but parts on the boat will likely break

Stay attached to the ski. Meaning: HANG ON THE BARS, and make sure your feet are in the footholds good. There is a far less chance of getting hurt this way.

I've seen 3 SN poles break, in addtion to all the comments above that are good, I would look into a RN pole and conversion bracket.

Also, don't wait until you break it. Make it stronger now...

x2 on hood sides and i've seen 2 skis crack on the outside, roughly where the gunwale meets the bulkhead.

Top deck is super flimsy. If you planning on landing on the side, it needs reinforced. After reinforcement, they seem to be bulletproof.

The hoods are weak to side impacts also, Ive cracked 2. They need to be gutted and the holes in the top sealed anyways, so thats a good first project to take on.

Couch mounts are tough also, but Ive broken 3 just learning flat water rolls

Make sure your straps are good, the battery box is good, and only run the ski with a half tank in it.

Good luck, backflipping a square is doable with a big enough wave, gettin the balls is the hard part.

Have spare parts and reinforce!
We've broken poles, rideplates, cracked hoods and trays launching off single boat wakes and vwakes

Are SN hulls that flimsy then? With everyone saying to reinforce it? Am I gonna be breaking stuff even if I don't ever try to flip? How much stronger is a RN? Because if I'm going to be breaking stuff left and right it might be better to sell my SN and get a RN right now.

The top deck is a little stronger in the RN, but still needs re enforceing for v-wakes. You wont break you ski just jumping or doing stabs off boat wakes, its when you start landing on the side or upside down off big waves. The first thing you need for your SN is a brap strap

Its just glass and a bit of carbon. I would go to your local supplier, and purchase it from them.

Viking plastics in town has everything you need to re-enforce. Boatcraft does to, but they have less selection and cost a bit, but will be able to give advice to help out first timers
