I've been wanting to try them. But I can't justify spending $100 for them just to get destroyed. Unlike wake skate we put our feet in holds and it Fuks them up. Also I can't be the only one that has had there shoes blown off by the pump and lost in the white water

I have a couple pairs of Teva Gnarkosi's, they're comfortable shoes with lots of padding, but I switched out to Asics wrestling shoes because my feet would not fit in anyone elses footholds when I wore the wake skate shoes. If you sign up for the deal flyer at www.sierratradingpost.com almost every week they send an email with an offer for an extra 45% off anything. I think I paid $45 for each set of Gnarkosi's I bought from there.

For me yes, but all depends on how much space u have. I've kicked into some holds where I'd have to b barefoot to fit and been in others that I coulda added another inch I pad...all in how they're set up.

I rode with skate shoes for the first year, they held up pretty well and were fairly comfortable but wrestling shoes are the best option. They fit in footholds better and are more comfortable (and generally cheaper).

I've been using wrestling shoes but I may switch back to a sneaker. Wresting shoes are thinner, hold less water and have ankle support, but the thin shoe provides no stability for the foot. Strictly freeride and surf the ankle support may be better but I'm not so sure there is an advantage for buoys or any kind of riding compared to something with support. I was thinking about sticking some orthotics in my wrestling shoes. Anyone try?

Do not buy these. I killed 2 pairs in 1 season. They cannot handle the pressure from the pump. I blew the front apart where the sole attaches to the toe. A flapper if you will. Then it was a down hill from there the whole sole came off in short order. The rubber they use for the sole might work well for wake skates but almost busted my face on diamond hydro turf. Only way I could get traction was to scuff them on some blacktop. As you can tell I was not happy with them at all. There were some great features like the drain holes, padding and the attached inner neoprene sock but my opinion is garbage for jetskiing. Best thing I have found is neoprene socks and wrestling shoes total pain in the azz to take on and off but never had to think twice about them when riding.

Been using Asics wrestlers for years and it's time to get a new pair. I'm strongly considering giving some surf booties a try. Anyone ever run them?

I have teva gnarkosis that i believe were made for wake skating. i love mine. Going on a 3rd season with them and i ride just about every weekend march-october, freshwater only though.

Saw some guys riding with soccer shoes that had plastic cleats. Kept them in the holds while inverted.
